Facilitating a creative space that supports innately therapeutic responses, while taking every opportunity to inspire the next generation of artists and creatives is my passion.
I also work as a fine artist using mixed media, ranging from meticulously detailed portraiture, abstract and expressive art, to therapeutic art installations.
The consistent theme throughout my practice is Creativity as a tool for exploring personal narratives and self-expression. I believe that, as human beings, we are innately creative and social, by uniting people and the arts we can create a space that is inspiring, creative and most importantly, provides a sense of community.
Participatory sculpture made from Welsh wool.
Infinity pool is an abstract, participatory sculpture, that evokes the imagination, inviting the audience to travel to deep space. Here, at 5,200 light years from earth, they will arrive at the glorious Rosette Nebula, where they can marvel at the birth of creation. The nebula was beautifully depicted in a description and photo provided by Allan Trow of Dark Sky Wales, who has made the viewing of these beautiful deep space objects accessible in the local area..
Inspired by the pensive, wanderings of the mind, experienced through star gazing, the audience are provided with the opportunity to metaphorically send a wish or affirmation to the universe. Write your wish or affirmation on paper to be dropped into the infinity pool, watch as it dissolves and is sent out to the universe.
You are also invited to immerse yourself in an accompanying audio meditation that will guide you through the process of creating an affirmation.
