Cilfynydd Ward

Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011, Section 116

 

Expressions of interest are being sought from members of the public who meet the following qualifications and are interested in representing Cilfynydd ward on Pontypridd Town Council.


You must be a British, Commonwealth, Irish or a European Union citizen and 18 years of age or over; and meet at least one of the following criteria:



  • Registered as a local government elector for the area named above; or
  •  During the whole of the last 12 months occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises in the community named above; or
  •       Your principal or only place of work during the last 12 months has been in the community named above; or
  •       You have during the whole of the last 12 months resided in the Community or with 4.8 kilometres of it.


If you require more information or wish to be considered for co-option, please send a letter to the Town Clerk detailing your experience and the qualities that you would bring to the role by 5pm Wednesday 26th October 2022.

*Certain people are disqualified from standing, and these include paid officers of the Town Council, anyone subject to bankruptcy restriction orders and those subject to recent sentences of imprisonment.

Gofynnir am fynegi diddordeb gan aelodau'r cyhoedd sy'n bodloni'r cymwysterau canlynol, ac sydd â diddordeb cynrychioli ward Cilfynydd ar Gyngor Tref Pontypridd.


Mae'n rhaid i chi fod yn ddinesydd Prydeinig, y Gymanwlad, Gwyddelig neu'r Undeb Ewropeaidd ac yn 18 oed neu'n hŷn; a chwrdd ag o leiaf un o'r meini prawf canlynol:


  •       Wedi eich cofrestru fel etholwr llywodraeth leol ar gyfer yr ardal a enwir uchod; neu
  •         Yn ystod y 12 mis diwethaf buoch yn byw fel perchennog neu dir tenant neu safle arall yn y gymuned a enwir uchod; neu

COMMUNITY AND OUTDOOR INITIATIVES OFFICER (PRIMARILY BASED AT MEADOW STREET COMMUNITY GARDEN) 34 hours per week Actual Salary: £25,058 (based on NJC SCP 11 FTE £27,269 pa) This post is funded until 31 st March 2026 after which a decision will be made on retaining the role subject to funding. Following recent staff changes, the Town Council wish to recruit an energetic Community Engagement and Outdoor Projects Officer who will work closely with the Community Development Manager and her team to implement our community engagement and outdoor project plans primarily based at our award winning Meadow Street Community Garden but also assisting at our various assets across the Town Council area. This role will be crucial in continuing the work of establishing the Town Council as a key anchor organisation within the area and ideally will develop or community engagement strategy as part of the Council’s Forward Development Plan (which is available on our website). This role will be important in continuing the development and success of the Community Garden and taking the learning from this project to other projects. The right candidate for the post will be creative, knowledgeable in this area, enthusiastic and be excited to work with us to expand and enhance our community offering and help support, grow and expand this project, dealing with community groups and the public and initiating other forward facing projects and events.
