This years Remembance Day may be very different and scaled down due to Covid, but in no way will it be less honoured.

Councillor Loretta Tomkinson, Pontypridd Town Mayor and Councillor Mike Powell on behalf of Pontypridd Town Council are honoured to be laying a wreath at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park on Rememberance Sunday.

Additionally, on 11th of November at 11am Councillor Loretta Tomkinson will be laying a wreath at the Cenotaph at Pontypridd Common and Councillor Carl Thomas is laying a wreath along with County Borough Councillor Maureen Webber at War Memorial in Hawthorn.

We hope you all continue to stay safe in this timer of Remembrance.

Every three years, the Town Council is required, under Section 6 of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016, to report on the actions we’re taking to promote and protect biodiversity in our area. We are delighted to share our latest Biodiversity and Resilience of Ecosystems Report, outlining the projects and initiatives we’ve undertaken to enhance local habitats and support wildlife across Pontypridd. We hope you enjoy reading the report and discovering more about the wonderful green spaces we care for in and around our town.
