Pontypridd Town Council's Christmas Cracker Event

An Festive Evening of Family Fun!

Kick off Christmas 2023 with Pontypridd Town Council’s 𝐂h𝐫i𝐬t𝐦a𝐬 𝐂r𝐚c𝐤e𝐫 event on Friday 24th November from 4pm - 7pm in Pontypridd town centre

Organised by Pontypridd Town Council in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, enjoy a magical evening of FREE, family friendly activities.

There will be lots going on to entertain you whatever your age. Come and watch Bwl Line Dancers strut their stuff and see if you can keep up. Take a browse at the market stalls and listen to live music from solo singer Angharad Rhiannon, Pontypridd Community Choir and Choirs for Good.

For the little ones there will be small fairground rides as well as face painting, entertainers and a balloon artist. Watch out for the acrobatic elves and take a ride on the Santa Express train!

A lantern procession will start at 5pm from the fountain in Taff Street, before winners of the Pontypridd Town Council schools Christmas card competition, switch on the lights at the main stage at 6pm.

Santa's Grotto!

Make sure you keep a Saturday free in December to come and say hello to Santa. He will be visiting us at Pontypridd Museum before shooting off to make all those special deliveries on December 24th!

Come in from the cold and sit by the cosy fireplace where you will receive a warm welcome from the big man himself. There will also be children's crafts, light refreshments and a Christmas market downstairs in the community rooms.

Santa will be available for visitors on Saturday 2nd, 9th and 16th December from 11am- 3pm.

No advance booking is necessary but the queue closes at 2.30pm, so make sure you arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment!

Santa's Grotto, the children's crafts and refreshments are all free of charge, but you will see donation buckets dotted around if you wish to contribute to  the Mayor's charities.
